Workshop Descriptions
Yoga Meditation for Yoga Students
Begin a journey of self discovery using the Yoga Sutras as your guide. Yoga history and philosophy will be introduced along with the basics of meditation and clearing the mind. Beginners welcome.
Family
Yoga Workshop (Targeted at children ages 3 - 7)
Games, music and animal poses suitable for the entire family!
Children must be accompanied by an adult and adults must be accompanied
by a child/children. (30 Minutes)
Let's Play Yoga (Parents & Preschoolers)
This parent and child yoga class is designed to teach basic yoga and to promote healthy development of motor and cognitive skills in a fun and stimulating atmosphere with music and animal poses. Children must be accompanied by an adult and adults must be accompanied by a child. All participants must register. (30 Minutes)

Tibetans
The Five Tibetans are a yoga system of highly energizing postures
and exercises that originated in the Himalayas. These 5 exercises
take a minimum of daily time and effort and yet yield remarkable
results! (This class meets 2 weeks in a row for a total of 3 hours)
Yoga For Freer Hips
A series of yoga based exercises and gentle stretches that are designed to free and open the pelvis and abdomen. This program explores gentle ways to achieve a balance in the muscles and structure of the hips with the use of yoga postures and a foam roller. Participants receive a routine handout and a foam roller for practice at home. (1 hour 45 minutes)
Yoga
For Women: Yoga for your moon cycle
Many yoga experts say that women should take it easy while menstruating.
This class will focus on a series of postures that are safe to practice
while menstruating. These restorative postures can improve circulation,
massage internal organs, and help restore balance to the endocrine
system while helping to calm the central nervous system. This class
is especially beneficial for women who experience PMS and other
menstrual problems as well as those women who are going through
menopause.
Yoga for Women: Yoga Therapy
This workshop focuses on the therapeutic use of yoga postures to relieve common problems women experience during menstruation and menopause including, UTIs, mood swings, migraines, cramps, weight gain, hot flashes, thyroid problems and osteoporosis. Participants will learn how to use yoga postures to get relief, which postures to use, how often and for how long. Come with a list of what ails you. (2 hours)
Yoga for Women: Releasing tension
Learn to use special breathing techniques while holding specific yoga postures to help facilitate the release of tension. This class will focus on releasing tension in the neck and shoulders. Cost of class includes booklet.
Ashtanga Yoga – Short Form
Learn a short form routine that you can use at home to start building your own personal practice. This short form is based on the Ashtanga Primary series and is appropriate for yoga students of all levels that are comfortable holding downward facing dog and doing sun salutations. (2 hours)
Yoga to Strengthen Your Bones
Learn yoga based exercises to help prevent and combat the thinning bones of osteoporosis, these exercises can be done at home in less than 30 minutes per day. Class aimed at women 35 and older but is beneficial for people of all ages. The class will be both informational and physical activity; warm-ups, stretches and yoga based bone-loading exercise techniques. (90 minutes)
Introduction to Yoga
Great place to take your first yoga class. Learn about the origins of yoga, differences in styles and basic fundamentals of practice. (90 – 105 minutes) Couple's
Yoga Workshop
Bring your partner along for a dynamic couples yoga session. We will look at intimacy, trust and communication through Yoga poses, breathing together and applying yoga philosophy. We will practice both synchronized and partner assisted postures. Previous yoga experience is helpful but not required. A partner is required. (90 minutes)
Postnatal Yoga – Mommy & Me Workshop
This workshop is designed to balance and restore the physical needs of new mother and baby. Babies aged 6 weeks to crawling. Mothers must have been cleared for exercise by their doctor. (75 minutes)
